Ivy Do

Ivy Do is a 5th-year Bachelor of Commerce student at the Haskayne School of Business, specializing in Human Resources. She joined the HRSA to gain hands-on experience in an environment that fosters both personal and professional development. What truly attracted her, however, was the vibrant and supportive culture that the HRSA team has cultivated. This year, Ivy is excited to help showcase the HRSA’s impact and inspire more students to explore the dynamic and rewarding field of HR. In her free time, you’ll find Ivy discovering new restaurants, searching for the perfect brunch spot, or convincing her friends to embark on spontaneous adventures with her!
Jane Zhang

Jane Zhang is a 5th-year Finance, minoring in Computer Science, student at the University of Calgary. Her passion to keep learning drives her forward. She started off with limited experience, but throughout her journey expanding her network and working with the team, she is eager to assist other students. She continues to participate in different clubs and programs to further achieve her goals. During her spare time, you can catch her drawing, listening to music, playing games or dancing.

Jennifer Ton
Vice President of Communications
Jennifer Ton is a 5th-year Risk Management and Insurance (RMIN) student. Jennifer joined HRSA to expand on her interest in HR and strengthen her professional network. Through HRSA she hopes to gain a deeper insight into the HR field, and help create opportunities for others to engage with the industry. Beyond her academic and professional interests, Jennifer enjoys reading, playing video games, and spending time with friends.
Melissa Malekzadeh

Melissa is a second-year student at the Haskayne School of Business, pursuing a concentration in Finance. She joined HRSA to broaden her outreach within the HR network and build meaningful connections with peers and professionals. In her role as Director of Communications, Melissa brings strong organizational skills and a passion for community-building. Her goal is to help facilitate professional relationships with sponsors while ensuring that HRSA’s events engage students who are interested in exploring and pursuing careers in Human Resources. Outside of academics, Melissa enjoys reading, spontaneous outings with friends, and exploring local cafés around town.

Matthew Tran

Matthew is a fourth-year Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources (OBHR) student at the University of Calgary and a proud member of the Human Resources Student Association (HRSA). With a keen interest in organizational culture, employee engagement, and leadership development, Matthew is passionate about using HR to create workplaces where people feel supported, valued, and motivated to succeed. He joined HRSA to further immerse himself in the HR community, connect with peers who share his enthusiasm for people-focused work, and gain practical insights that complement his academic studies. When he’s not diving into HR topics, Matthew enjoys cooking new recipes and listening to Lana Del Rey.

Leona brings vast experience ranging from volunteer management, community investment to leadership in various student organizations and sales. Sophia Porter

Sophia is a fourth-year OBHR student at the University of Calgary with a passion for building meaningful connections and deepening her understanding of all things people-related. Her main interests in the HR field include labour relations and change management. Always eager to learn and grow through new experiences, Sophia hopes to help HRSA foster an engaging and supportive environment for her peers. In her free time, you’ll find her reading, walking her dogs, or at the bouldering gym.

Charlise Windwick

Charlise is a 4th year Human Resources (OBHR) student at the Haskayne School of Business. She first joined the HRSA to build connections with like minded peers who share the same passion and desire for a career in Human Resources. Although she is interested in every aspect within HR, she is especially interested in Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, and Labour Relations. Her goal as VP of Events is to organize engaging and inclusive events that give students opportunities to network and expand their learning on the many topics of HR. Outside of her academic interests, you will find Charlise winding down by painting, doing yoga, and listening to music.
Aruzhan Mussabekova

Aruzhan is a fourth-year Operations Management student at the Haskayne School of Business. By joining HRSA, Aruzhan aims to foster connections with students who share her interest in building collaborative and engaging environments, while also contributing to events that help members grow both personally and professionally. She is excited to bring her organizational skills and creativity to support HRSA’s initiatives and strengthen the student community. Outside of academics, Aruzhan enjoys baking, reading classic literature travelling, and staying active through fitness and outdoor activities.
Camille Barote

Camille is a first-year student at the Haskayne School of Business, majoring in Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources. She joined HRSA to build meaningful connections with other like-minded individuals in the HR community and to continue growing professionally and personally. As one of the Directors of Events, her goal is to offer students an array of exciting opportunities that will help expand their networks, strengthen their connection to the HR field, and further explore their passion for human resources. Originally from the Philippines and having lived in Bangkok, Thailand, Camille is an international student who loves spending quality time with her loved ones, going out for walks, singing or journaling outside of her academics.

Vanessa is a third-year Organizational Behavior and Human Resources student at the Haskayne School of Business. She joined HRSA to strengthen her connections within the HR community and to reconnect with her passion for leadership through event planning. As Director of Events, her goal is to create meaningful and engaging experiences that support students’ personal and professional growth. Outside of academics, Vanessa enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, baking, and staying active at the gym. Originally from the Okanagan, she now studies in Calgary and enjoys being part of its vibrant community, appreciating the opportunities to learn and collaborate with people who bring unique perspectives.
Kayla Bryant

Kayla is a fourth-year Operations Management student at the Haskayne School of Business. She joined HRSA to help plan engaging events that bring students together while emphasizing the importance of collaboration and community within business. As a Director of Events, her goal is to create inclusive and memorable experiences that encourage students to build lasting connections and explore new opportunities throughout their academic and professional journeys. Outside of school, Kayla enjoys staying active through volleyball, softball, and golf. She also loves spending time outdoors, horseback riding, and hanging out with friends.

Outside of academics, Hani enjoys playing soccer, gaming, and exploring new activities such as volleyball.
Kathleen Shang

Nathan Peseski

Nathan is a fourth-year Human Resources student at the Haskayne School of Business and serves as Marketing Director for HRSA. He joined to help grow the club’s presence, connect students with HR opportunities, and contribute to a strong, people-focused community. He’s especially interested in employer branding and communications. Outside of school, Nathan enjoys a quick round of disc golf, exploring astrophotography with his camera, and catching movies at local theatres.
Jamie Lo

Jamie is a third-year Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources student at the Haskayne School of Business, while also pursuing a degree in Psychology through the Faculty of Arts. She is especially interested in employee growth, development, and well-being, and enjoys exploring how insights from psychology can be applied to create positive and supportive workplaces. Jamie joined HRSA to connect with peers who share her passion for people-focused work and to contribute to a community that helps students learn, grow, and discover opportunities in the HR field. She looks forward to supporting HRSA’s initiatives and building meaningful connections with both students and industry professionals. Outside of academics, Jamie enjoys baking, playing badminton, and travelling to experience new cultures.

Meredith Grant is a 3rd-year Accounting student at the Haskayne School of Business. She is excited to facilitate opportunities for students to learn more about recruiting and career opportunities within the HR field. Meredith is excited to work alongside the team to support professional development and form meaningful connections through HRSA initiatives. In her spare time, she enjoys long-distance running, baking, and spending time with friends and family.
